The international squad are through to the winners’ match in the $250,000 online tournament. ENCE defeated Eternal Fire in the first match these two teams have played against each other, taking the Turks out in a three-map series in their Roobet Cup opener. This also marks the European team's first match and victory since coach Eetu "sAw" Saha’s contract extension was announced on Tuesday as they continue to look for a tournament win. This win now puts Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer and his men on the road to the playoffs, as they are through to the winners’ match in Group C, where they will face the victor of the upcoming MOUZ vs. Imperial series. The match kicked off on Eternal Fire’s pick, Dust2, where Ömer "imoRR" Karataş was the leading light for his squad as they went on to hit double digits on the attack despite Paweł "dycha" Dycha downing 17 rivals in his team’s five CT round wins. ENCE then lost the pistol, but having planted the bomb went on to win the forcebuy, keeping the pressure up on the terrorist side. The international squad brought it back to 14-14, with a double from Snappi opening in a mid to B push putting his team on match point, although a clean round by EF kicked the map to overtime. Big rounds from dycha and a strong showing by Lotan "Spinx" Giladi with the secondary AWP on the CT side got ENCE to 19-17, securing the Turks’ pick ahead of their own selection. Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş flew out of the gate on the CT side of Nuke to help Eternal Fire get ahead 6-0 as he and his teammates made it a crushing 13-2 half, with XANTARES himself switching over to the attack with 22 frags to his name. ENCE stayed alive by winning the CT pistol round, starting to mount a comeback on the defense, but as Eternal Fire hit match point seven rounds into the half it was only a matter of time before they equalized the series, as they did four rounds later by closing out the map 16-10 to force a decider. The two teams kept close as could be in the first half of the third and final map of the series, Vertigo, where ENCE took a slight lead at the half after starting on the attack, 8-7. The international squad then looked at ease on the defense, taking control once rifles were in play to run away with a 16-10 scoreline to bag the series.Read more sAw renews contract with ENCE: "Next, we want to win a tournament"
